Job summary

Wellmark in Des Moines, IA is seeking a hands-on Marketing Data Analyst to advance how we collect, govern, and use marketing data. You’ll conduct data quality reviews, oversee governance, build sequential journey segmentations, and partner with stakeholders to build reports and dashboards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in marketing analytics, experience with GA, GTM, Looker Studio, Adobe Target/Experience Platform, and Power BI, plus strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, data science, or related field or direct and applicable work experience.
• 3+ years of marketing experience in performance marketing, media measurement, growth analytics, attribution models, trend analysis, forecast performance, sales funnels, on-site conversion metrics, customer journey analytics, etc.
• Experience in marketing and analytics platforms such as: Google Analytics (GA), Google Tag Manager 360 (GTM), Google Looker Studio, Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Platform and/or Power BI dashboards.
• Solid understanding of marketing principles to effectively analyze data, identify insights, and drive strategic decision-making.
• Demonstrated project management effectiveness: meeting deadlines, solving problems, and aligning project work to campaign strategy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to consult with stakeholders, present information to technical and non-technical stakeholders and teams, including key decision makers.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple activities or projects.
• Ability to cultivate peer, key stakeholder and vendor relationships in order to drive results.

Responsibilities

• Turn marketing data into meaningful action and reports for stakeholders.
• Lead data quality reviews and governance for marketing datasets.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to track journey segments and campaign performance.
• Collaborate with teams to define measurement plans and KPIs; translate data insights into recommendations.
• Support data source mapping, validation, and governance across marketing tech.
