Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Marketing Coordinator for a dynamic non-profit in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, offering a hybrid work model. This role supports the marketing team by coordinating event logistics, managing partnerships, and assisting with marketing initiatives.

You will develop strong organizational and communication skills while engaging with stakeholders and helping deliver meaningful projects in the Queenstown community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in marketing coordination, event support, or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools.
• Experience with event planning software or registration platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Experience working within the non-profit sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of marketing events, both in-person and virtual.
• Manage event logistics, including venue booking, vendor coordination, registration, and on-site support.
• Support development and implementation of partnership marketing initiatives.
• Liaise with external partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure successful collaborations.
• Help create marketing materials and communications, ensuring brand consistency.
• Manage the marketing team's shared calendars and schedules.
• Assist with social media scheduling and content updates as needed.
• Track marketing expenses and assist with budget management for events and campaigns.
