Through thoughtful research, intentional design, and meaningful collaboration, we create places that are both beautiful and purposeful.

We’re seeking a Marketing Coordinator to help tell those stories to support both our Durham NC and Somerville MA offices.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented marketing professional who enjoys both strategy and execution. You’ll work closely with our principals and design teams to support business development efforts, create compelling marketing materials, manage proposals and qualifications, and help communicate the ThoughtCraft story across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, collaborative team player, and proactive problem-solver who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and has a passion for design, storytelling, and relationship-building.

What You’ll Do
Proposal & Business Development Support
  • Coordinate the development of all proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and interview materials in both the Durham NC and Boston MA offices.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and firm leadership to gather information and create compelling, client-focused proposals and content.
  • Manage proposal schedules, deadlines, submission requirements, and production.
  • Research project opportunities, track pursuits, and support ongoing business development initiatives.
  • Maintain marketing databases, systems, CRM information, project profiles, and client records.
Marketing & Communications
  • Develop and update project sheets, staff resumes, award submissions, qualifications materials, and other marketing collateral.
  • Assist with content creation for newsletters, project announcements, press releases, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Ensure all materials align with the firm’s brand standards, voice, and design quality.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
  • Help manage and maintain the firm’s website, blog, LinkedIn presence, and other digital channels.
  • Create and schedule engaging content highlighting projects, people, firm culture, and industry insights.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement.
Marketing Resource Management
  • Maintain project photography, client testimonials, project descriptions, resumes, and marketing assets.
  • Organize and update marketing systems to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and current.
  • Support the preparation of award submissions and industry recognition opportunities.
Events & Industry Engagement
  • Assist with planning and coordination of client events, industry conferences, networking opportunities, and community engagement activities.
  • Support ThoughtCraft’s involvement in professional organizations and industry associations.
  • Attend networking events as appropriate and as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience, preferably within architecture, engineering, construction, design, or another professional services industry (we will consider new grads with marketing internship experience)
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and creative professionals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Canva, or similar design software preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools is a plus.
  • Familiar with the proposal process and AEC industry marketing is preferred.
