Job summary

The Aspen Institute, a global nonprofit headquartered in Washington, DC, seeks an Associate Director of Marketing and Communications for the Public Programs team. You will drive integrated campaigns for Aspen Ideas Festival and related events, focusing on audience growth and stakeholder engagement.

You will manage content strategy, website, email marketing, mobile app production, social media, partnerships, and marketing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years integrated communications experience.
• Outstanding writing skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Experience managing paid campaigns; graphic design skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage year‑round content strategy for Aspen Ideas digital channels (web, email, social).
• Oversee website management and collaboration with internal IT and external developers.
• Lead email marketing, CRM segmentation, and audience engagement across campaigns.
