Job summary

The Aspen Institute is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing and Communications to lead integrated campaigns for Aspen Ideas Festival, Community Programs, and related events in the Washington, DC area. The role demands strong writing, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing, design, and PR teams.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the position offers a salary range of $110,000–$125,000 with flexible, office-based work three days per week in the greater Washington, DC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 7+ years in integrated communications or related agency work.
• Proven ability to manage multi-channel campaigns and events.
• Strong writing, editing, and analytic skills for audience engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated campaigns across channels for events and programs.
• Oversee brand, style guides, and editorial directions for Aspen Ideas Festival and related events.
• Lead email, social, website, and CRM marketing efforts with cross-functional teams.
