Job summary

Oldways Preservation & Exchange Trust is seeking a Marketing Communications Intern in Boston. You will support the Marketing Communications Director to promote Oldways’ food and nutrition programs and expand our role as a thought leader in the field.

You will create graphics for social channels, draft blog posts, manage email newsletters, and monitor analytics across websites and newsletters. This role emphasizes writing, media tools, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• B.A. or student studying communications, marketing, or a related field
• Exceptional writing skills, including grammar, spelling and punctuation – AP style preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with socials: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn
• Familiarity with Canva
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects
• Familiarity with Substack, Sprout Social, and newsletters (Constant Contact/MailChimp)
• Video creation/editing experience
• Knowledge of Adobe suite including Premiere

Responsibilities

• Create graphics for and post on social media with an eye on the Oldways brand
• Establish consistent posting routines across platforms
• Write and edit blog content
• Write, edit and send email newsletters
• Update monthly analytics for website, sales, social media and newsletters
• Proofread studies, travel programs, blog posts, and other content
• Collaborate across departments and work independently after goals/guidelines
• Help develop standard workflows for marketing activities
