Junior Marketing & Communications Executive – Main Duties: All Campaigns

The Entry Level Junior Marketing & Communications Executive is a valued team member across all departments. This entry-level position includes comprehensive training on basic marketing strategies.

The Junior Marketing & Communications Executive supports the Marketing Manager by assisting with projects aimed at increasing company profits and developing sales strategies or marketing campaigns, particularly within our conference portfolios.

Role:

This entrepreneurial role requires executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive website traffic, generate quality leads, and attract attendees to relevant conferences and exhibitions through various direct and online marketing channels. The Executive supports the management team in implementing the marketing plan.

The ideal candidate should be innovative, organized, familiar with the latest online platforms, social media savvy, possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and ambitious. The Junior Marketing & Communications Executive reports directly to the Marketing Manager and collaborates with departments such as production, customer service, operations, database management, and sales.

Key Accountabilities / Key Performance Indicators:

  • Develop, support, and execute field marketing and segment activities to impact sales results.
  • Execute marketing campaigns and promotions as per expertise.
  • Collaborate with clients to support campaigns.
  • Coordinate with corporate and marketing managers to customize strategies for different market segments.
  • Manage and monitor the use of sales tools; suggest new tools as needed.
  • Publicize events and work with Account Development to increase awareness and attendance.
  • Propose new ideas to generate revenue for clients.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on marketing, PR, and communications activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Marketing Managers to implement integrated marketing strategies for exhibitions and conferences, including campaigns for exhibitors, conferences, and visitors.
  • Contribute ideas to the strategic planning process.
  • Analyze existing databases for direct marketing use.
  • Lead database development to ensure effective marketing channels and source relevant lists for research.
  • Manage and report on campaign performance against plans and objectives.
  • Negotiate media deals with external organizations to maximize exposure within budget constraints.

Job Outline:

  • Drive sales of sponsorship, exhibition, or delegate packages via telephone.
  • Seek new customers from relevant sources.
  • Research and conduct sales campaigns to attract sponsorships or delegates.
  • Collaborate across functions to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Attend sector-specific events for networking and business development.
  • Build relationships with new accounts and explore untapped revenue opportunities.
  • Support on-site event operations to ensure smooth execution.

Reporting:

  • Provide weekly activity and forecast reports to the event team.
  • Capture sales activities and update CRM systems.
  • Report sales progress weekly, monthly, and quarterly to senior management.
  • Supply market intelligence to assist marketing campaigns.
  • Continuously research the market, gather customer feedback, and attend industry networking events.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal departments to enhance client experience.
