Position Summary

The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Marketing Director in the development and implementation of company marketing and communication strategies, initiatives, and assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborates with sales or marketing representatives to fully understand product and communication needs.
Gather, create, and publish content on the company’s internal and external platforms.
Propose and draft communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other media.
Work with external agencies and freelancers to create content and campaigns.
Present marketing and communications ideas and recommendations to marketing director.
Establish and maintain hard copy and electronic files for sales and marketing materials.
Monitor, track, and report social media engagement metrics and web traffic.
Assist in selecting and ordering branded merchandise to be sold on the company’s LexGear site and distributed via other channels.
Monitor and maintain brand and graphic standards in all areas of communication.
Complete special projects as assigned by the Marketing Director.
Assist Sales team with proposals and collateral materials.
Adhere to all company safety/OSHA rules and regulations.
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, journalism, English or related field. Minimum of two years’ experience in a related capacity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations. Excellent copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Suite or related software. Experience in website editing with WordPress, content marketing, photography, and videography.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Some overnight travel. All the physical demands listed are essential functions.
