Job summary

Walsh Employment Limited is seeking a field-based wine and spirits sales professional to develop and grow the brand portfolio across Orange County. You will build distributor relationships, activate accounts, and drive distribution in both on-premise and off-premise channels.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in wine and spirits, experience with distributor teams, and a strong track record in promotions and merchandising. Must be able to travel 4.5–5 days per week and have a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in wine and spirits industry.
• Experience in on-premise and off-premise markets.
• Experience working with distributor sales teams.
• Understanding of distribution, merchandising and brand activation.
• Experience with menu placements, POS, displays and promotions.
• Strong account and relationship-building skills.
• Able to travel 4.5–5 days per week with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop the brand portfolio throughout Orange County.
• Manage relationships with distributor DMs, AMs and KAMs.
• Drive distribution, visibility and account activation.
• Develop on-premise and off-premise account relationships.
• Secure menu placements, displays and promotional activity.
• Deliver sampling, demonstrations and consumer activations.
• Merchandise accounts and build displays.
• Ensure in-market execution meets company and brand standards.

$75-90K + 25% bonus + car allowance plus excellent benefits package

About the Opportunity

Join a successful global wine and spirits business with a growing portfolio of premium brands.

This is a highly field-focused market development role, working across Orange County to build distribution, develop distributor relationships, activate key accounts and increase brand visibility across on-premise and off-premise channels.

Key Requirements

• 1-2+ years' wine and spirits industry experience
• On-premise and off-premise market experience
• Experience working with distributor sales teams
• Understanding of distribution, merchandising and brand activation
• Experience with menu placements, POS, displays and promotions
• Strong account and relationship-building skills
• Confident presenting and conducting tastings or product activations
• Proactive and comfortable working independently in the field
• Valid driving licence and reliable transportation
• Able to travel throughout the territory 4.5-5 days per week
