Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is hiring for a meat department role based in a Texas/Oklahoma market. The position supports market operations, meat case maintenance, and customer service, with training and advancement opportunities.

You’ll work with upper management to manage shifts, review sales data, and ensure quality and safety across refrigerated areas, while handling cutting, weighing and labeling duties and promoting product sales.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED and 1+ years related experience; or equivalent.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Review historical data on sales, ads and promotions; co-manage inventory.
• Indirectly responsible for sales performance, financial results and quality.
• Check inventory on trucks; unload and ensure accuracy of orders.
• Cut, weigh, package and label products to required specs.
• Enforce food safety standards; rotate dated products.
• Keep coolers/freezers organized per company guidelines; label origin.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling.
• Provide friendly, customer-service-oriented interactions by phone and in person.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment by following safety procedures.
