Job summary

Openwork, a high-growth staffing company, is hiring a Market Manager for Austin, TX. You will lead the market, own P&L, drive client relationships, and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will oversee recruitment strategies, ensure KPI achievement, and foster a culture of accountability and growth while delivering outstanding staffing solutions in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Ability to own branch performance and act like a business owner.
• Strong interpersonal skills with coaching ability and team motivation.
• Experience managing P&L and monitoring KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Market Leadership: Develop and execute a plan to manage your market territory and identify key prospects.
• Recruitment & Talent Strategy: Create effective recruiting strategies and referral plans.
• Team Development: Conduct regular coaching and performance reviews to grow the team.
• P&L Ownership: Own branch P&L, monitor KPIs, and support financial goal setting.
• Operations Management: Oversee processes to ensure targets are met daily.
• Cultural Leadership: Lead by example to foster a welcoming, collaborative culture.
• Compliance & HR: Ensure client agreements compliance and payroll sign-offs.

We're Hiring: Market Manager

We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Market Manager to lead our Austin, TX team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is ready to take ownership of a market, create a thriving workplace culture, and drive operational success. As the Market Manager, you’ll oversee branch P&L, client relationships, and team development, while ensuring we meet and exceed our goals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Market Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic plan to manage your market territory, analyze market size and competition, and identify key prospects and influencers.
• Recruitment & Talent Strategy: Create effective recruiting strategies, including talent referral plans and client-specific recruiting efforts.
• Team Development: Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, quarterly goal reviews, and ongoing coaching to help develop your team. Build a strong internal bench and foster a growth-oriented, team-first culture.
• P&L Ownership: Own the branch P&L, monitor KPIs and collections, and actively contribute to setting financial goals and monthly/quarterly updates.
• Operations Management: Oversee operational processes, ensuring orders are efficiently allocated and team members are supported in meeting their daily targets.
• Cultural Leadership: Lead by example to create an empowering, welcoming, and fun workplace that embodies Openwork’s values and culture.
• Compliance & HR: Ensure compliance with client agreements, manage escalated HR issues, and ensure accurate payroll sign-offs.

About You:

• Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• A proactive self-starter who can think like a business owner and take ownership of branch performance.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with an ability to lead by example and inspire teams to reach their full potential.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with experience in handling client issues and HR-related challenges.
• Familiar with managing P&L, setting financial goals, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
