Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Market Investigator in Chicago to identify, analyze, and address freight exceptions and losses using data analysis and investigative skills. You will communicate across management and departments to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

The role requires senior-level investigation skills, strong communication, and the ability to self-start and multitask. Occasional travel and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security/Loss Prevention/Investigation
• Senior level investigation and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management
• Self-starting, able to prioritize and multi-task independently
• Identify critical issues with workable resolutions
• Proficiency with Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word
• Occasional travel
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve, and prevent freight exceptions and losses using data analysis and investigative skills
• Maintain consistent and professional communication across management and departments
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Develop and refine processes to improve incident response times and analysis
