Arrive Logistics is seeking a Risk Specialist in downtown Chicago to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization. You will audit freight, vet carriers, and collaborate with operations to reduce exposure while supporting compliant, efficient workflows.

The role emphasizes proactive risk monitoring, SOP development, and cross-functional alignment with Sales, BD, and Operations, all within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent skills and experience.
• 3+ years experience in brokerage transportation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-resolution skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Strong logical reasoning skills, detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
• Excellent customer service skills via phone and email.

Responsibilities

• Freight & Carrier Auditing to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Proactive risk screening using real-time monitoring tools and audits.
• Vet carriers for specialty certifications and badging; communicate with carriers.
• Analyze commodity trends to adapt risk classifications.
• Manage load escalation workflow within SLAs.
• Collaborate with tracking and operations to mitigate in-transit risks.
• Conduct regular quality control reviews of risk procedures.
• Develop and document SOPs for risk workflows.
• Coordinate with Sales, Business Development, and Operations on risk policies.
