Job summary

Thrivent seeks a Market Director to lead advisor teams, attract and onboard talent, and help grow Thrivent's local client base. This role builds community relationships, strengthens brand awareness, and positions Thrivent as a trusted local leader.

Responsibilities include recruiting, launching financial advisors, coaching on the Advice Process, and developing market plans with matrix partners to grow future leaders.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ Years in the financial service industry attracting and hiring new talent preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of attracting, selecting, and developing financial advisors.
• Experience hiring financial advisor on teams.
• Securities registrations, state insurance licenses and appointments in all states where financial advisors are conducting business and receiving commissions.
• Experience in leading groups, specifically in presenting and facilitating to drive understanding of concepts and practices that lead to new financial advisor success.
• Demonstrated track record of solid sales results and alignment to providing clients wholistic, purpose-based advice.
• Experience in using the Thrivent Financial Advice Process, Salesforce and other Thrivent tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a plan to recruit quality talent by developing trusting relationships within broad networks and COIs.
• Maintain recruitment pipeline to support market capacity growth and sales objectives through advisor referrals and community relationships.
• Collaborate with channel stakeholders to source candidates into open roles across all channels.
• In partnership with matrix team, manage and engage candidates through selection, licensing and launch phases.
• Conduct selection interviews and communicate Thrivent's value proposition.
• Establish relationships with matrix partners for resources to grow talent for teams and future leaders.
• Demonstrate mastery of the Thrivent Financial Advice Process and coach on all elements.
• Provide launch support for new financial advisors in their first year.
