Hy-Vee in Burlington is seeking a Market Grille Clerk to join our Market Grille team. You’ll help prepare fresh, made-to-order items, greet customers with a smile, take orders at the counter, and ensure a warm, welcoming experience for every guest.

This role emphasizes teamwork, food safety, and accuracy on the register. No formal education is required and on-the-job training is provided; prior food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; we will provide all the training you need to succeed.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and going the extra mile to make every visit a positive one
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone promptly, providing helpful service including taking product orders
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and prepare and replenish product as necessary
• Run the department register, receive payment, and make change where applicable
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area throughout your shift
• Price and order product and deliver orders as needed
