Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is hiring a Market Grille Cook to join our Market Grille team. This role involves preparing hot and cold menu items, stocking the case, and ensuring quality with fast-paced, friendly service. You’ll work evenings and weekends as part of a busy store kitchen.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or equivalent and be able to follow sanitation guidelines and safety practices while delivering a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Prepare cooking surfaces and all menu items including vegetables, sides, meats, breakfast foods, and heat-and-eat varieties.
• Place food in hot cases, monitor amounts, and refill as necessary throughout your shift.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Market Grille operation.
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep work area clean and organized at all times.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
