Job summary

Thrivent Financial is seeking a Market Director to lead advisor teams in the local market, attract and onboard top talent, and build a pipeline for future leaders. You will partner with matrix teams, drive field development, and align strategies with Thrivent's purpose-based advice.

You will cultivate local relationships, expand the client base, and raise brand awareness while ensuring compliance, training, and succession planning across the market.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in financial services attracting and hiring new talent preferred.
• Experience hiring financial advisors on teams.
• Licensing: FINRA Series 7, 63/65 or 66 required or obtained within 90 days.
• State insurance licenses and appointments in life, health and variable lines of authority or obtained within 90 days.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and own vehicle for business use.
• Proven track record of delivering sales results and providing holistic, purpose-based advice.

Responsibilities

• Attract and retain talent by building relationships within broad networks and leveraging COIs.
• Develop and launch financial advisor practices, providing launch support for first-year advisors.
• Manage market culture and ensure collaboration with matrix partners and leadership.
• Drive market growth by strengthening local relationships, expanding client base, and increasing brand awareness.
