Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Sedalia, MO is seeking a Market Attendant to transport materials to work areas and ensure Kanban flow meets standard times. You will pick up and deliver materials from plant storage to the line per standards and assist with safety and housekeeping.

The role emphasizes reading manuals, tooling with hand tools, and contributing to 5S/ TPM initiatives to boost equipment efficiency. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate basic software
• Strong manual dexterity for precise tasks and tooling
• Ability to read manuals, drawings, schematics and follow instructions exactly
• Solid understanding of quality control principles in manufacturing
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with and ability to use hand tools

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to work areas per Standard Work and time frame on site
• Move Kanban cards and materials from storage to line per Job Standard Work
• Maintain safety and report hazards following site rules
• Support Lean initiatives (5S, TPM) to improve equipment efficiency
• Assist with housekeeping and other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Work overtime as required by management

Job description

Position Summary:

The Market Attendant position shall be capable of transporting materials to the work areas per the Standard Work, Delivery Route and time frame on company premises

Essential Functions:

The operator shall be capable of picking up and delivering Kanban cards and materials from plant storage areas to point of use on the line per the Job Standard Work.

Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.

Take an active role in caring for the equipment to prevent breakdowns and defects and help increase overall equipment efficiency through 5S, TPM (total productive maintenance), and other Lean Manufacturing initiatives directed by the Sedalia site.

Additional responsibilities include good housekeeping and other assignments as directed by the Supervisor.

The employee shall be able to work overtime as requested and posted by management.
