Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Northlake, Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician on 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:00pm, offering $26.67 per hour. You will install, troubleshoot and maintain production and facility equipment in a non-climate-controlled distribution environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and about 2 years of Electrical/Mechanical experience, with knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, plumbing systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment
• Perform service and repair work as designated in profitable and proper manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance work according to schedule.
• Maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure.
• Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
• Responsible for facility improvement including safety projects.
• Troubleshoot problems by developing a plan of action, estimating labor time, and job materials.
• Safely operate a walkie rider and floor scrubber; certified on Reach and Conventional forklift for material movement.
• Complete assigned project tasks, maintain staging lane, perform 5S duties to keep work areas and equipment organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2 years prior experience in the Electrical, Mechanical field a plus Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and plumbing General knowledge of Distribution Center layout and equipment Proven ability to work safely with above average accuracy Basic Computer Skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work any shift including weekends and Holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, and lift/move 10 lbs., regularly and up to 50 lbs., occasionally. Team lift 50 – 100 pounds occasionally. Resilience to work in environments occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures. Quality-focused, eager to learn and grow, and willing to embrace innovation and change.

Work Environment: The work environment is a distribution/warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. This is a non-climate-controlled facility.
