Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Market Asset Protection Manager to lead the Asset Protection Team across the East Detroit Market, including multiple Michigan locations. The role focuses on safety, asset security, shrink prevention, and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise team leaders, conduct investigations, and partner with store leadership to implement protective programs. Strong analytical and investigative skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3+ years of multi-unit asset protection experience; investigative experience and ability.
• Working knowledge of OSHA Regulations.
• Understanding of behavioral safety strategies and ORC concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Wicklander Zulawski Interview Certified or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains and supervises Asset Protection Team Leaders.
• Investigates current internal theft cases and conducts safety audits.
• Meets with store leadership to review activity and reinforce safety standards.
• Drives safety programs in partnership with store leadership.
• Reviews OSHA logs, investigations and safety reduction efforts.
• Liaises with law enforcement and oversees ORC investigations.
• Ensures physical security of store locations and alarms are operational.
• Executes assessments and action plans targeting shrink and safety improvements.
• Analyzes P&L, shrink, and implementation effectiveness.
