Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Maritime team. You will help build and test surface platforms, integrating sensors, navigation, propulsion, and autonomy software to ensure performance meets specifications. The role involves leading test plans, creating detailed reports, and coordinating sea trials and offshore operations.

Travel up to 30% is expected, and candidates must be eligible for a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems engineering, integration and test.
• Experience generating TRRs, test plans, procedures and reports.
• Familiar with mechanical, software, electrical engineering and control theory basics.
• Experience in field tests and operational environments.
• Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and basic test equipment.
• Experience with Linux and command line interfaces; software debugging.
• Able to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willing to travel up to 30% and capable of obtaining security clearance.
• Preemployment and randomized substance screening.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of subsystems into surface platforms (sensors, navigation, propulsion, comms).
• Lead testing across design, integration, and test phases.
• Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans.
• Maintain test and evaluation program meeting government standards.
• Support day-to-day test operations including pre-mission testing and data analysis.
• Set up, collect and refine operational metrics.
• Troubleshoot, repair, operate and maintain platforms in the field.
• Prepare and review detailed test reports documenting test execution.
• Coordinate local sea testing and multi-day offshore operations.
• Assist with logistics for test missions.
• Contribute to design reviews and system verification planning.
• Collaborate with partners to integrate payloads into platforms.
• Maintain configuration/version control and safety throughout development and test cycle.
• Travel as required for test planning and execution.
