Job summary

Anduril Industries is developing autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles for defense applications. We seek a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and deliver electromechanical systems for the Maritime team.

You will work across design, prototyping, testing, and integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet demanding performance, weight, and manufacturability goals. Travel up to 20% and eligibility for a U.S. Top Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or equivalent experience.
• 4–8 years of experience as Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer on multiple technologies.
• Ability to work holistically on complex robotic systems across design, implementation, operation and sustainment.
• Ability to travel up to 20% and obtain/maintain TS security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the full product lifecycle of designing, prototyping, manufacturing, integrating, testing, and delivering integrated electromechanical systems.
• Navigate a dynamic solutions trade space with external constraints, evolving requirements, schedule, and quality across stakeholders.
• Contribute as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provide new perspectives.
• Assess mechanical solutions for end-user value, cost, manufacturability, timeliness, reliability, and reusability.
• Interact with end-users to understand needs and incorporate feedback into solutions.
• Travel to co-locate with end users, visit vendors, or support integration and test activities.
