Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Marine Operations Engineer, Surface Maritime, to advance autonomous surface vessels. You will support field operations, maintenance planning, and execution across multiple ASV platforms, with global deployment and 50% travel.

Responsibilities include pre-mission testing, data analysis, and collaboration with vendors, while ensuring operational procedures and documentation are up to date.

Qualifications

• Valid USCG Merchant Mariner Credential as a First Assistant Engineer (or higher) with STCW endorsements.
• 5+ years of at-sea experience, ideally on autonomous vessels or highly automated systems.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and use of test/maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain ASVs in the field.
• Perform pre-mission testing, tasking, and data analysis for multiple ASV platforms.
• Deploy globally to support at-sea operations from various vessels.
• Write and execute test plans during at-sea testing.
• Coordinate with vendors and logistics partners for underway events.
• Document daily operational reports of internal and customer-facing efforts.
• Support UI design and user documentation for ASV systems.
• Enable local ASV operations with nearshore at-sea days.
