Job summary

Integris Composites, Inc. is seeking a Maritime Technical Director in Vienna, VA to lead technical strategy for maritime protection systems, guiding concepts through field integration and customer programs.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain to develop innovative solutions and ensure successful deployment on maritime platforms; leadership in design, integration, and program opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required in naval architecture, marine engineering, or closely related field.
• Extensive shipbuilding/shipyard experience with marine systems integration.
• Knowledge of maritime standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience integrating equipment onto maritime platforms (aluminum, steel, composites).
• Strong understanding of design integration principles and lifecycle support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for maritime protection solutions from engagement through design, installation, test, and field support.
• Lead integration of protective solutions onto new-build and in-service platforms, considering vessel structure, access, maintainability, and producibility.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate threat requirements into practical concepts.
• Translate platform requirements into technical solution sets aligned with mission and environment.
• Interface with shipbuilders, naval architects, program offices, prime contractors, and end users on scope and design.
• Review and develop installation concepts, mounting approaches, drawings, models, and integration procedures.
• Spearhead opportunities into designs, quotes and successful integrations.
