Job summary

Integris Composites seeks a Maritime Technical Director to expand its maritime protection portfolio across North America. You will lead technical development, engage with naval architects, shipbuilders, and defense customers, and drive survivability initiatives from concept to delivery.

You will shape product direction, collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales, and support program execution while maintaining security clearances and delivering practical, innovative armor systems for

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Significant experience within shipbuilding, naval architecture, marine engineering, or maritime systems integration.
  • Strong understanding of maritime design principles, vessel structures, installation methods, and lifecycle support.
  • Experience integrating equipment or technical systems onto maritime platforms.
  • Knowledge of aluminium, steel, and composite marine structures.
  • Familiarity with naval, coast guard, law enforcement, patrol, or high-speed craft applications.
  • Understanding of survivability engineering, ballistic protection, blast mitigation, or military platform protection is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting customer programmes and technical proposals.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work across multidisciplinary international teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout North America.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support business development by identifying new opportunities and strengthening relationships within the maritime sector.
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and proposal development.
  • Contribute to new product development and help drive innovation across the maritime segment.

Position Summary

As Maritime Technical Director, you will play a leading role in expanding Integris’ maritime protection business across North America. Combining technical expertise with commercial engagement, you will work directly with naval architects, shipbuilders, government agencies, and defense customers to develop advanced ballistic protection solutions for maritime platforms.

This role bridges engineering, business development, and programme execution, supporting projects from early customer engagement through design, integration, testing, and delivery. You will also help shape the future direction of Integris’ maritime product portfolio while strengthening our position as a trusted survivability engineering partner.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical development of maritime protection solutions from concept through installation and field support.
