Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mechanical/Structural Analyst for a maritime autonomous vehicle program. You will own structural and thermal analyses across the design envelope, balancing buoyancy, strength, and corrosion against weight.

Reporting to the Structures Lead, you will collaborate with propulsion, energy, and payload teams, perform FEA and hand calculations, and travel up to 25% for test sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis for marine, aerospace, or robotic systems.
• Proficiency with analysis tools (Nastran, ANSYS, Abaqus, etc)
• Experience with materials selection for corrosive or high-pressure environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Own structural mechanical and thermal analysis for the vehicle
• Perform structural analysis: FEA, hand calculations and buckling
• Verify structural interfaces with propulsion, buoyancy, energy, and payload systems
• Drive trade studies balancing strength, weight, corrosion, and cost
• Support prototype builds and structural test campaigns
• Contribute to design reviews (PDR, CDR) and documentation
• Travel up to 25% to test sites and manufacturing facilities
