Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a highly experienced Production Operations Manager to lead the stand‑up and ongoing operations of our advanced manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, CA. You will build and manage the entire production system—from team formation to day‑to‑day execution—ensuring rapid, high‑quality delivery of maritime products.

Qualifications

• 10+ to 15+ years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing diverse production teams.
• Experience standing up manufacturing facilities or significant production lines.
• Experience with CNC machining, cutting (waterjets, plasma, oxy-fuel), metal forming (rolling), welding, systems integration.
• Strong understanding of ERP, MES, and PLM systems.
• Experience transitioning products from R&D to full-scale production.
• Hands-on leadership style on the shop floor and strategic execution.
• Ability to manage diverse teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance; must be a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead high-performing production teams across Machinists, Welders, Fabricators, and more.
• Establish production systems, tool rooms, work cells, material flow, and shipping/receiving management.
• Design, document, and implement robust manufacturing processes from ground up.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities and ensure schedules, quality, and resource use are optimized.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Bridge R&D to production for scalable, repeatable manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, QA, and Program Management.
• Contribute to strategic capacity, equipment, and technology roadmaps.
