Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Maritime team in Santa Ana, CA. You will analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs, working on continuous improvement initiatives for hardware at scale.

The role involves developing process flows, writing work instructions, and collaborating with contract manufacturers to enable quick-turn development and at-scale production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design.
• Ability to deliver process improvements in a resource-constrained environment.
• Demonstrated team leadership with concrete examples.
• Experience physically manufacturing hardware (machining, soldering, assembly).
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Degree in engineering, math, or hard science.
• PCB fabrication or SMT process experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flows, breaking down large assemblies into subassemblies and sub-processes.
• Write manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and quality plans.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable, scalable processes.
• Work hands-on with technicians to build prototype hardware.
• Support end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects and board fabrication.
• Travel to suppliers to perform sourcing and implement quality improvements.
