Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Ports and Marine Project Manager to lead maritime design and delivery from one of our offices, including Irvine, with opportunities to influence projects across multiple locations. You will manage schedules, budgets, and client expectations while mentoring junior staff and growing a diverse project portfolio.

You will work with civil, structural, geotechnical engineers and collaborate with DoD, Navy, port authorities, and private terminals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant post-education experience in marine, port, and coastal design.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Aptitude in maritime related codes (ASCE, COPRI) and DoD criteria.
• Competency to supervise staff in state-of-the-art computer programs.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and company policies.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff engineers and task leads; oversee calculations and prepare drawings and specs.
• Prepare technical studies and reviews; guide staff engineers.
• Oversee calculations, cost estimates, drawings, and reports.
• Lead projects for marine facilities including various cargo terminals and federal facilities.
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams (civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, coastal, fire protection, architecture).
• Prepare analyses and presentations for repairs and capital improvement programs.
• Lead client meetings, design reviews, and proposals; contribute to staffing estimates.
