Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Lead Consultant, Ports and Marine Engineering to join our National Maritime Practice Group. This role can be based in Irvine, CA or other U.S.

offices listed, delivering design, analysis, and project leadership for port, marine, and intermodal terminal projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop construction plans and cost estimates, prepare technical reports, and ensure compliance with industry standards while mentoring staff engineers and coordinating with clients

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (multi-state) preferred.
• 7–10 years of marine project design experience.
• Experience with SAP2000 or similar FEM tools.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT and BIM tools.
• Knowledge of marine structures and codes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership for port and marine projects.
• Lead development of construction plans, schedules, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across design, permitting, and construction.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and drawings.
• Mentor staff engineers and ensure design quality and compliance.
• Engage with regulatory agencies and clients.
