Job summary

Leidos National Solutions Division invites a Journeyman Full Stack Engineer to support software development, maintenance, integration, deployment, and sustainment of maritime systems. The role emphasizes adaptive and preventive maintenance, design and automated testing within an Agile DevSecOps environment.

You will work on software development, troubleshooting, and documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams while ensuring security and compliance requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
• Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment
• Proficient in AWS/Cloud technologies
• Experience with cloud-based architecture
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and workflow
• Knowledge of the Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
• Familiar with Vue, NodeJS, PostgreSQL
• Familiar with Git/GitLab or other source code control tools
• Familiar with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)
• Familiar with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs, diagrams, etc.)
• Familiar with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
• Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI and a polygraph post hire

Responsibilities

• Maintain maritime systems software across adaptive, corrective, preventive, and perfective maintenance
• Perform design, development, and automated testing of software modules via DevSecOps in an Agile team
• Develop software, troubleshoot, and debug programs for enhancements and maintenance
• Participate in peer reviews and unit testing; adapt to different responsibilities as needed
• Conduct software requirements analysis and develop software products in a maintenance setting
• Identify software and hardware dependencies and capacities; create and maintain documentation
