Job summary

Leidos Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Chinook Program, supporting an Intelligence Community customer.

Design, develop, and deliver modern software solutions enabling critical national security missions, collaborating with engineers, architects, and mission experts. You will work across the full software lifecycle on microservices, APIs, and web apps, using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field with 4–8 years of experience or a Master's with 2–6 years of experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with ability to pass a polygraph.
• Proficiency with web techs (HTML, CSS, JSON, REST) and OOP languages (Python/Java/JavaScript).
• Experience with cloud development (AWS/Azure) and relational DBs (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and agile tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong knowledge of secure coding and government accreditation (RMF, STIGs).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that support GEOINT missions.
• Participate in agile sprints and contribute to daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Build and maintain secure, containerized apps using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Develop RESTful APIs and web UIs with React, Node.js, Flask or Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with mission users and product managers to refine requirements and improve UX.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines and ensure coding security and accreditation compliance.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Resolve prioritized tasks as directed by the product owner.
