Job summary

Hornblower Corp in Newport Beach is seeking a Deckhand to monitor deck areas and passengers, assist with boarding, mooring, and safety procedures, and deliver high-level guest service aboard our vessel(s). You will handle lines, launch/dock operations, ticketing, concessions, cleaning, and routine maintenance while complying with SMS, SIs, and safety rules.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• TWIC Card or ability to obtain.
• First Aid/CPR Certification or ability to obtain.
• Alcohol service certification after training.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Fast-paced environment adaptability.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year deckhand or marine watch experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• DD214 copy if Veteran status.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Monitor passenger and crewmember safety on vessel.
• Assist with mooring, lines, docking, and bridge operations.
• Provide high level customer service to guests.
• Sell tickets and concessions, manage cash and inventory.
• Assist with provisioning, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
• Participate in safety drills, training, and inspections.
