Job summary

Reliability & Performance Technologies ( R&P ) is seeking an experienced mid-level ship deck systems test and activation engineer to join our defense-focused team. Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in ship deck systems operation, grooming, activation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, drawings and manuals.
• Willingness to travel to various locations for ship test, activation and sea trials.
• Candidate preferred with prior U.S. Navy or U.S. Merchant Marines service and DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end ship system inspection, grooming, activation and testing of assigned systems.
• Provide activation, operations, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance support for deck systems (hull, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
• Plan and conduct tests; analyze results and prepare reports with recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineers and field personnel to address technical problems.
• Train junior staff on test and activation procedures; read and interpret work item requirements and drawings.
