Job summary

Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. seeks a Corporate Counsel with expertise in commercial construction contracts and environmental regulations for our Seattle, WA office.

The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership, contract review oversight, and daily legal advice. You will negotiate standard terms, manage risk allocation, handle claims, and support regulatory compliance across CERCLA, RCRA, OSHA, and related statutes, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and active law license in good standing; admitted in Washington.
• 4–7 years of legal experience with direct people management.
• Experience in commercial construction contracts.
• Experience managing commercial insurance programs and contract administration functions.

Responsibilities

• Contract management: negotiate and oversee contracts and agreements; lifecycle management and risk oversight.
• Contractor compliance programs: enforce licensing, vendor/subcontractor compliance, and corporate policies.
• Corporate legal support: advise on employment issues, compliance and regulatory updates; maritime law considerations.
• Litigation and claims management: oversee claims and coordinate with insurers and outside counsel.
• Commercial insurance administration: oversee insurance requirements and renewals with risk and finance teams.
