Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a Maritime Chief Engineer who will serve as the technical authority for maritime products and systems. You will own system architecture, requirements, integration, compliance, and risk management, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to meet Navy qualifications and program milestones.

The role requires overseeing end‑to‑end engineering efforts, from design to test and delivery, with a focus on safety, reliability, and production readiness at the Franklin, MA site.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 12 years of equivalent experience in a maritime/defense environment.
• Active DoD security clearance (SECRET or higher) required.
• Experience with NAVSEA standards and MIL‑STD guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering tasks are completed on time, within budget, and at required quality levels.
• Collaborate with program management, production, quality, and business development to align across programs.
• Engage with Navy customers to communicate technical status, risks, and decisions.
• Support proposal development, including technical baselines, BOEs, and concept development.
• Drive engineering processes, standards, configuration management, and continuous improvement.
