Job summary

Orion Marine Group is seeking skilled Welders for our field construction operations in Houston, TX to support marine and heavy civil projects. You will weld, cut, grind, and assist in maintaining infrastructure on docks, wharves, bridges, and waterfronts as part of a team of skilled trades.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability. Two years welding experience and the ability to pass welding tests are required, with opportunities for career growth and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years welding experience or equivalent
• Ability to read welding blueprints and sketches
• Capable of stick welding in all positions
• Experience with oxy-acetylene cutting and metal fabrication

Responsibilities

• Welds and fabricates metal as assigned
• Cuts, grinds, and cleans welded joints
• Operates cutting torches and related equipment
• Rigs cables and handles materials for project work
• Works with Welding Shop Foreman and yard crew to complete projects safely
• Maintains welding equipment and reports needed parts to Foreman
• Participates in safety and environmental initiatives
