Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas in Plymouth, MA is seeking a licensed boat technician to inspect, maintain, and repair boats of all kinds. You will diagnose engines, hulls, propellers, rigging and navigational gear, and install or test sanitation and electrical systems on marine vessels.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience, ABYC or manufacturer certifications, and owns the necessary tools to work across gas and diesel engines.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience preferred
• Experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing boats
• Knowledge of boat engines, hulls, propellers, and navigational equipment
• ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair boats of all kinds
• Test and repair boat engines, hulls, propellers, rigging, and navigational equipment
• Install and test sanitation and refrigeration systems, cabinetry, electrical systems, steering gear, and accessories
• Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove and install vessel systems and components
• Assess job scope, budgeted time and parts required before starting work
• Ensure knowledge of electrical, plumbing and water systems across vessels
