Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas in United States is seeking a skilled marine technician to inspect, maintain and repair boats of all kinds. You will use diagnostic equipment to test engines, hulls, propellers, rigging, masts, sails, and navigational gear, and install sanitation and electrical systems.

The role requires practical experience with gas and diesel engines, and the ability to lift 50 pounds; ABYC or manufacturer certifications are preferred. This is a full-time on-site position at our NC location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical school training preferred.
• 5 years’ experience preferred.
• ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair boats of all kinds.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to test and repair boat engines, hulls, propellers, rigging, masts, sails, and navigational equipment.
• Install and test sanitation and refrigeration systems, cabinetry, electrical systems, steering gear, and accessories.
• Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove and install vessel systems and components.
• Overall knowledge of marine systems including electrical, plumbing & water systems.
