Job summary

Rock Outdoors in West Virginia is seeking a Marine Service Technician to maintain and service Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki and Evinrude outboards at our state-of-the-art marine center. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure warranty work meets factory guidelines.

You will install depth finders and trolling motors on new boats, participate in boat shows, and deliver excellent customer service while working in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on boats in a shop or marina setting.
• Proficiency with Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Evinrude outboard motors; certification(s) preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass required certification tests as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki and Evinrude outboard motors.
• Prepare new boats including installations (depth finders, trolling motors, power poles, etc.).
• Perform preventive maintenance on marine machinery and components.
• Examine, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Communicate the nature and extent of damage or malfunction to the customer.
• Set up and participate in boat shows and other off-site promotional events.
