Job summary

Rock Outdoors is seeking a Marine Service Technician to join our team at a state-of-the-art marine sales and service center. Responsibilities include maintenance and servicing Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki and Evinrude outboard motors, diagnosing issues, and completing warranty work per manufacturer guidelines.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of boat repair experience in a shop or marina, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on boats in a shop or marina setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service on Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki and Evinrude outboard motors.
• Prepare new boats including installations on depth finders, trolling motors, power poles, etc.
• Examine, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Effectively communicate the nature and extent of damage or malfunction to the customer.
• Set up and participate in boat shows and other off-site promotional events.
• Ensure all warranty work is completed to manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance on marine machinery and components.
