Job summary

CompX International in Grayslake, IL is seeking a Marine Technical Customer Service Representative to join the Livorsi Marine team. This office-based role supports customers, processes orders, and provides technical product guidance.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on boating/mechanical experience and strong communication skills to manage inquiries through resolution on a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Marine industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in one or more listed roles: boat/marine mechanic, marine technician, dealership service writer or service advisor, marine parts or warranty specialist, or boat dealer/marina customer support.
• Working knowledge of marine mechanical or electrical systems preferred.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer questions by phone and email promptly and professionally.
• Use marine knowledge to answer product questions and troubleshoot customer concerns.
• Identify correct products, replacement parts, and potential solutions.
• Process orders accurately and provide timely follow-up.
• Coordinate with dealers, builders, service departments, and internal teams to meet customer needs.
• Maintain accurate customer records and order documentation.
• Utilize Outlook, Word, and Excel to manage communications and orders.
