Job summary

Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician III to support Seaborne Target Operations & Maintenance for the Naval Air Warfare Center. The role covers marine engines, electrical and electronic systems, and may require travel to remote locations, including at-sea or dockside environments.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with technical training or 2–4 years’ related experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school training or specialized training or 2–4 years of experience may replace education.
• Experience in a military environment preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of Computer/Networking/MS Office.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Pass a consumer report and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, apply technical knowledge to marine engine tasks on seaborne target systems.
• Train to qualify as vessel operator for HSMST, QST A/B/I, FACT and SDST Targets if required.
• Assist higher level technicians in component replacement and troubleshooting.
• Follow preventative maintenance programs using manuals and schematics.
