SA-TECH is hiring an Operations Engineering Technician II to support the NAWCWD PTMO program at Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, CA. The role involves hands-on work around seaborne targets and marine equipment in a dynamic DoD environment.

Primary duties include diagnostics and preventive maintenance of gasoline engines, generators, and related gear, under guidance from shop leads. Travel to remote sites and occasional overnight deployments are required.

Competenze

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of Mercury Marine, Honda, and/or Suzuki gasoline engines.
Current Driver’s License required; must be insured for work vehicles.
U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
Background screening including SSN, driving record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
Pre-employment physical including medical tests.

Mansioni

Operate around seaborne targets, vessels, and marine equipment (cleaning, sanding, painting, assembling).
Work under shop leads in Seaborne Targets Operations and Maintenance Division.
Diagnose marine engine malfunctions and assist repairs.
Follow preventive maintenance using service manuals and schematics.
Occasionally serve as crew on vessels.
Certify to operate Weight Handling Equipment and perform line handling and boat checks.
