Job summary

Vigor Marine Group in Seattle is seeking a Project Manager for ship repair projects. You will plan, coordinate, and direct daily and weekly activities across shipyard contracts to deliver quality repairs on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include communicating with customers and the assigned Project Manager, coordinating crafts, tracking costs, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a ship repair-related field and 4–6 years of progressively responsible ship repair/production management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and directs daily/weekly production on ship repair contracts and construction crafts.
• Communicates project status with customer and Project Manager; participates in planning and production meetings.
• Directs supervisory and project management personnel to ensure schedules, objectives, and procedures are followed; coordinates materials and parts.
• Writes accurate records and contributes to final specifications; resolves repair problems with supervision and suppliers.
• Prepares progress reports, cost analyses and adjusts schedules within approved budgets; monitors safety and quality standards.
