Job summary

MarineMax is seeking a Service Advisor to support the Service Manager and team, interfacing with customers to gather information and ensure work is completed correctly and on time.

You will schedule and distribute work for technicians, use service guides to estimate times, obtain customer approvals, and finalize invoices while promoting additional services and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and coordinating repairs.
• Ability to read work orders and communicate needs to technicians.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager in day-to-day operations including scheduling and distribution of work for technicians and yard team.
• Use manufacturer flat rate guides and Standard Service Operations to determine time allotted for work and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure that the Complaint, Cause and Correction are noted in the IDS work order.
• Coordinate with manufacturer and warranty companies to obtain approval for repairs and document outcomes.
• Greet customers and determine needs, providing clear instructions on the work order for the technician.
• Answer incoming calls professionally and return calls before close of business.
• Promote and sell additional labor services, parts and accessories to customers.
• Obtain customer signature on work orders and collect payment prior to releasing boats.
• Schedule, coordinate and follow-up on sublet contractors.
• Inspect quality of work before delivery to the customer.
• Communicate with customers during repairs and coordinate pickup.
• Finalize and invoice work orders.
• Provide prompt flow of all paperwork.
• Promote MarineMax Safety Program and maintain a safe workplace.
