Boater's World Marine Centers in Lake Placid, FL is seeking a organized, customer-focused Service Writer / Marine Service Advisor to join our Service Department. You will coordinate service appointments, repair orders, estimates, and communications throughout repairs.

The right candidate balances outstanding customer service with strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to keep a busy shop moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous marine dealership or marine service center experience.
• Experience using Lightspeed or a similar dealership management system.
• Ability to explain mechanical repairs and service recommendations clearly.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Full-time on-site work in Lake Placid, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers and assist with scheduling maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Document customer concerns and requested services accurately.
• Explain repairs, maintenance services, estimates, and timelines to customers.
• Coordinate with technicians and the Service Manager to prioritize work.
• Prepare service estimates and communicate labor, parts, and repair costs.
• Monitor open repair orders and follow up on approvals and parts requirements.
• Maintain accurate customer records and service histories.
• Support the Service Manager with scheduling and administrative tasks.
