Job summary

OneWater Marine in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Parts & Accessories Specialist to help customers find the right marine parts and accessories and to provide a helpful and friendly shopping experience.

You will finalize sales, maintain inventory, keep displays neat, and assist with boat shows and events. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and prior parts sales or marine service experience, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in marine services is a plus.
• Previous experience in parts sales, marine service, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying the correct parts and accessories for their boats, ensuring they are informed about product features, compatibility and pricing.
• Finalize transactions by properly closing each sale with accurate paperwork, including using suggestive selling of accessories that benefit the customer.
• Maintain inventory of parts and accessories to ensure accuracy, control shrinkage, and obsolescence. Manage product reordering to ensure customer needs are met.
• Maintain neat and orderly displays, with accessories and supplies well merchandised to present a professional appearance to help increase sales.
• Process customer orders accurately, track order status, and ensure timely delivery or pickup of products. Maintain accurate records of orders and sales.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Analyzes operations and finds ways to increase efficiency, sales and profitability of the parts department.
• Stay informed about products, industry trends, and innovations in marine parts and accessories.
• Support store in the execution of successful boat shows, store and off-site sales/customer events, including accessory sales as appropriate.
• Any other duties as assigned.
