Brown & Brown is seeking a Marine Mechanical Claims Adjuster to join our growing team!

Role Responsibilities

As a Marine Mechanical Claims Adjuster, you will manage mechanical and ancillary claims. Your responsibilities include:

  • Investigating failures, determining coverage, supporting vessel restoration, and negotiating repairs.
  • Providing compassionate customer service and collaborating with a team of adjusters to ensure a seamless claims experience.
Contributions and Tasks
  • Assess coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Communicate regularly with customers via phone, email, and text.
  • Use digital platforms and tools to manage and resolve claims.
  • Negotiate repairs with claimants, third-party facilities, and vendors.
  • Document claims activity and decisions accurately.
  • Support customers throughout the claim and repair process.
  • Collaborate with other Adjusters on shared responsibilities.
  • Follow Brown & Brown's Claims Culture of caring, empowering, and restoring.
Skills & Experience
  • Marine experience in roles such as service writer, parts personnel, technician, inspector, or related fields.
  • Experience in reading and writing repair orders, estimates, and invoices.
  • Ability to verify parts pricing and labor times from guides and field experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $15 - $20 Hourly

The pay range is based on experience, geography, and budget considerations.
