Brown & Brown is seeking an Automotive Mechanical Claims Adjuster to join our growing team!

As an Automotive Mechanical Claims Adjuster, you will manage mechanical and ancillary claims. Your responsibilities include investigating failures, determining coverage, supporting the vehicle restoration process, and negotiating repairs. You’ll provide compassionate customer service and work closely with a team of adjusters to deliver a seamless claims experience.

How You Will Contribute:

  1. Assess coverage, determine liability, and evaluate damages.
  2. Communicate regularly with customers via phone, email, and text.
  3. Utilize digital platforms and tools to manage and resolve claims.
  4. Negotiate fair repairs with claimants, third-party facilities, and vendors.
  5. Document claims activity and decisions accurately within internal systems.
  6. Support customers throughout the claim and repair process.
  7. Collaborate with all Adjusters on shared claim responsibilities.
  8. Follow Brown & Brown's Claims Culture of caring, empowering, and restoring.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Automotive experience as a service writer, parts personnel, technician, inspector, or other field-related experience is a must.
  • Background in reading and writing repair orders, estimates, and invoices.
  • Adept at verifying parts pricing and labor time from published guides and field experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Range: $15 - $20 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role, considering experience, geography, and budget.
